the photographer
For years, I’ve had the privilege of documenting one of the most meaningful milestones in a family’s life.
From sacred traditions to the energy of the dance floor, I love to capture every moment with intention and artistry.
I blend traditional style with a modern touch to create images that feel both meaningful and fresh. I like to meet with my clients before the event — often over Zoom in today’s busy world — so we can connect, get comfortable, and make sure everything feels natural. Because when you feel relaxed and confident, that’s when the best moments happen.
On the road
When ever I’m with my family I’m happiest. Whether it’s travel, Sushi, a movie at home, time together is what makes me happy. With both kids in college, this is getting harder and harder.
I’ve always been a loyal fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Green Bay Packers. One of my bucket-list dreams is to see a Packers game at Lambeau Field—in the snow, of course.
Some of my favorite memories go back to being 11 years old, taking the bus from the Fairfax area with my older brother all the way to Dodger Stadium. He was 14, and it felt like a big adventure—just two kids heading to the ballpark. Those are the kinds of memories that stick with you.
I’ve always loved both Belva Plain and John Grisham. When I was 18, my mom handed me Belva Plain’s Evergreen, and that’s where it all began. At 24, I picked up my first John Grisham novel, The Pelican Brief, and was hooked. I’ve since read all of their books—and I still keep them on my bookshelf.
Over the years, I also collected a set of 49 literary classics and started working my way through them, one by one. I’ll admit, a few of them have been pretty tough reads—but there’s something satisfying about checking them off the list.
I’m definitely not a sit-on-the-beach-all-day kind of person—Europe is usually where I feel most drawn, exploring cities, history, and culture.
Closer to home, depending on the season, we love escaping to Mammoth Lakes. Sometimes it’s a cozy condo stay, and other times we’re all in with tent camping. Either way, being up in the mountains is my kind of getaway.
Photography has always been something I’m deeply drawn to, especially when it comes to subjects with history and meaning. I’ve always loved photographing World War II veterans, Holocaust survivors, cemeteries, and cathedrals. Each of them carries a powerful sense of story and legacy, and being able to capture even a small piece of that history through a photograph is something I find incredibly meaningful.
I’m naturally drawn to black and white for these images. Stripping away color allows the emotion, texture, and history to stand on their own. There’s a timeless quality to black and white that feels honest and enduring .
