Timeless Mitzvah Memories
Temple Etz Chaim is a vibrant Jewish congregation serving families throughout the Conejo Valley. Guided by the vision of living a purposeful life inspired by Jewish learning, wisdom, and values, the community places a strong emphasis on education, meaningful worship, and lifelong connection to Jewish tradition. Since 2019, the congregation has been led by Senior Rabbi Ari Averbach, whose leadership focuses on building an inclusive, engaged community where families can celebrate milestones, deepen their understanding of Judaism, and strengthen their connection to one another and to Jewish heritage. The synagogue is especially known as a welcoming place where many families celebrate important life events, including Bar and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies.
At It’s A Mitzvah Photography, I focus on capturing the moments that make life’s milestones so meaningful. I’m Evan, and I specialize in photographing people and the celebrations that bring families together. What I love most is capturing the “moments within the moments” — the genuine smiles, the pride of family, and the small details that make each celebration unforgettable.
I work from my home office in Simi Valley and an office in Westlake Village, California. With its scenic lakes, rolling hills, and relaxed sophistication, Westlake Village provides a beautiful backdrop for portraits and lifestyle photography. I love incorporating these natural surroundings into my work to create images that feel both timeless and personal.
